Grace Lessons

Happy almost spring! I don’t know about you, but with the temperature hovering near 60 and the sun beckoning me to come outside and play, my heart and soul are percolating with possibilities! Miss M and I are super-excited to share our heart-opening interview on WJAR NBC 10’s Studio 10 with Meaghan Mooney.

Adorning her Mamãe’s olive-green blazer, Miss M once again opened her bodhisattva heart, sharing her mother’s Grace Lessons with poise, grace, and wisdom far beyond her years. I think the moment that literally took my breath away was when our host, Meaghan, broke down after the interview, and as I was attempting to comfort her, Miss M strode over to Meaghan and just wrapped her arms around her…

I see my visionary niece, Terri Luanna, in her daughter, Miss M, each and every day. God do I miss Terri’s light. Her open heart. Her ability to discover the divine in the day-to-day. Her boundless quest to live fully. Passionately. Mindfully.

I’m so deeply grateful for these sacred moments with Miss M that offer me a constant reminder that Terri is ever-present. That by sharing our story and Terri’s Grace Lessons with the world, we are not only healing our own grieving hearts but all those who choose to become part of our shared story.

With this intention in mind — of building meaningful community around our loss stories — I invite you to join me at Heart and Soul Holistic Healing Center in N. Easton, MA, for a full day Grace Lessons Workshop. Together, we will mindfully lean into our losses, tending to our pain with loving-kindness and self-compassion, in order to “hold” our grief stories so they can no longer “hold” us. By shining a light into the darkness of grief — a light of hope, remembrance, and meaning-making — we can discover that heart space where grief and resilience live together, uncovering a newfound capacity to live and love more fully, more fearlessly, more vividly, and more intently.

On the way out of WJAR NBC 10 Studio, Miss M and I were star-struck by all the life-size posters bedecking the walls! So many of my favorite shows —`ER, This is Us, Cheers, New Amsterdam. But it was this final shot (and the accompanying text Miss M sent to her smart-aleck Uncle Markie) that TOTALLY made my day:

“Now this is what famous looks like!”

So if any on you have the inside scoop on how to get on Ellen or The Kelly Clarkson Show, ( yes, we’ve already exhausted all the conventional channels! ), please send it my way. Miss M is a dreamer, just like her Mamãe, and she is determined to land a spot on one of her favorite star’s shows❤️

With oodles of love and light,

Auntie L and Miss M
