Broadening our Horizons…
Who woulda thunk that Terri, Miss M, and I would be featured this Sunday, September 1st, right after the news at noon, on 95.9 WATD-FM’s Powerful Women Revealed, hosted by the fabulous Nicole Perry?
Or, that next month, Miss M and I will be guests on Stacey Shipman’s Engaging Voices Podcast, sharing our stories of love, loss, and living beyond?
Or, that I would have the courage to say yes to attending The Sounds True Gathering, a time for renewal, connection and transformation in the California redwoods, to benefit the nonprofit Sounds True Foundation, which is dedicated to making transformational education widely available to at-risk populations and communities in need, as well as to people who are actively working to uplift and protect our society—teachers, veterans, law enforcement professionals, and leaders of social justice and environmental organizations?
Or, that I would be launching the workshop, Grace Lessons: A Bold Blueprint for Mindfully Navigating the Sacred Cycles of Life, Loss, and Living Beyond, based on Terri’s inspirational teachings, at Elevate: An Exploration of Mindfulness on November 6th?
And last but certainly not least, that I would have the tenacity to reach out to Terri’s alma mater, The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, in order to bring Graceful Woman Warrior home to NYC?
Terri would have…
Terri knew exactly what she was doing when she asked me to publish her blog. She knew that her inspirational messages—of mindfully living fully through loss and adversity, of leaning into our pain and suffering in order to uncover the transformational lessons within, and of the critical power of loving connection— must be shared.
And she also knew her bodhisattva daughter, Miss M, was destined to come along for the ride.
So deepest gratitude my beloved niece, for setting us on this journey. And deepest gratitude to all of you for becoming part of our shared story.
We hope you will tune in tomorrow to 959watd.com after the news at noon for my Graceful Woman Warrior interview, listen in next month to our openhearted podcast on Engaging Voices, and we really, really, really hope against hope to see many of you on October 18th at the Silberman School of Social Work for our Dream Book Tour stop in NYC!
Love,
Auntie L and Miss M
Love love love! What a beautiful journey for you to share with marissa and all of us!! Love toy
Absolutely!!
What a remarkable journey you’ve taken. How fortunate for all of us who will have the opportunity to learn from and grow with you. I’m so bummed I’ll be out of the country and missing the Hunter stop (where I met Terri). Blessings to you and Miss M on your grand tour!
Naomi, I too am sorry to miss you! I’ve been trying to locate Terri’s NYC “posse” and hope the blog will act as my “connector” to all who knew and loved her❤️ These beautiful connections mean the world to Miss M and me, keeping Terri close to our hearts.
