“The Point”
Guess who’s going to be on NPR’s The Point hosted by Mindy Todd?? Holy Terri, that would be me!
So please, set your radio/phone/computer to WCAI on Tuesday, February 26th, at 9:00 am. Joining us will be Ann Eagan, LICSW, a regular on the program, who also specializes in grief and loss, and hopefully you! Become part of our shared story about Terri’s incredibly powerful Grace Lessons by phoning in at 866-999-4626 or emailing at thepoint@capeandislands.org.
God do I love the title of this show. It begs the question, “What is the point?”
Given the litany of losses in my life, one might suspect I would ask this question quite regularly. And I do. But not in the way you might think.
It’s all in your approach to the question.
Mindy uses her show in exactly the way I approach this question—as a seeker, an explorer, as an invitation to dive in and dig deeper, to open up the conversation in order to find greater meaning-making in this precious thing called life.
Sitting here in my office, my bodhisattva sister, Jeanne, and her visionary daughter, Terri, sit atop my desk, their smiling faces gazing into my eyes. Guiding and inspiring me each and every step of the way.
The tears still flow, but accompanying those tears, lies a deep and abiding well of gratitude for the path Terri and Jeanne have set me on. And set their beloved Miss M on.
So in answer to the question, “What is the point?” I offer you the most recent Book Talk Miss M and I did at Dahlia Living. I realized the video I published on social media was just the intro. Take a few moments to watch the “full story,” for herein lies the answer to the question.
The answer my friends is love.
Love,
Auntie L
