All you need is love…

Tis the season of love❤️

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I find myself looking more deeply at the power of love in my life. And in Miss M’s.

The power of loving connection…  The power of loving yourself… The power of loving kindness… The power of loving community…

Recently, Miss M and I attended empowerHER‘s Actor’s Workshop with Aimée Spring Fortier where the power of love in all its forms triumphed.

Each girl was given a “Choose Happy” notebook and Aimée invited them to write their own monologues using 5 prompts. Here’s Miss M’s:

I have a secret…

I am a real author. The book I wrote is called Graceful Woman Warrior. It is about my mom, and how my family went through this breast cancer journey. I am grateful for empowerHER.

I first realized it when…

Auntie Laurie told me she put my blog in the book. I am proud of myself.

Something I learned was…

I can inspire others through my writing.

It makes me feel…

Open to heaven and the earth.

And now that I’ve said that, I feel…

That I’ve inspired more people and can choose to be happy.

Talk about the power of love…

It’s there for the taking. Each and every day. And we have the choice to “show up” to “choose happy” even in the midst of life’s challenges.

Which is why Miss M and I show up for every empowerHER event possible.

Which is why I chose to drive to Niantic yesterday, Miss M’s forever home, to see her BFF’s debut performance in Peter Pan Jr.

Which is why I said a very loud YES! to Nat and George Sine when they invited us to do a Graceful Woman Warrior Valentine Book signing next Saturday, February 9th from 2-4 at Dahlia Living.

Which is why I continue to seek new opportunities to reach a wider audience for Terri’s profound and inspirational Grace Lessons—like the invitation from Mindy Todd to be a guest on The Point, February 26, 9:00 am.

Which is why I signed Miss M up for the Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar free vocal workshop and found myself overcome with loving spirit as Miss M performed live on stage at the Zeiterion. (I swear I felt Terri sitting right beside Papai and me, reveling in the mystical musical performance, Miss M seemingly tapping into all her Rubbicco ancestral stories of artistry right before our very eyes…)

So I ask you, what will you choose today?

With boundless love,

Auntie L

PS-Come share some Valentine’s love with us next Saturday—Miss M will be on hand to help you create a Valentine’s bookmark for your special loved one, be they here on earth or in the heavens above❤️

This continuing memorial to Terri is a wonderful thing.

I had hoped that, like her counterpart in the Heinlein novel, she would get to dance in 1/6th gravity. Perhaps Miss M. will do that instead someday.

    So many good wishes….
