PS from Aunty Laurie- after all the love, the joy and the remembering, it was in the safety of her own home and the warm embrace of Papai that the tears finally fell…

Has she seen Kubo and the Two Strings? I saw it twice in the theatre and I thought about Miss M quite a bit. You might want to preview it first, but it’s really quite incredibly beautiful, and it’s the most emotionally sophisticated thing that I have ever seen for a child who is dealing with the loss of a parent. I mean *all* Disney heros/heroines are orphans. But this isn’t Disney, and the underlying message is precisely the one that I would want my own daughter to receive if I were to transcend this realm. http://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/kubo-and-the-two-strings-2016

Thank you for posting this, Laurie. And especially for your last sentence. It’s good for father and daughter to grieve together. What a great Dad he is! And what a terrific Aunt you are.
